Comments: We need to make sure our shops survive the current recession. Imposing car parking charges will drive them to the wall - a double tragedy if we are actually on the eve of an economic upturn.

Comments: The imposition of parking charges will stop people visiting Pembroke Dock for shopping. The costs for staff will make working marginal and also drive away volunteers in charity shops (of which Pembroke Dock has a lot which maybe relects its economic status).

Comments: Utter madness to introduce charges at a time of the biggest economic downturn the UK has seen Our town has already lost businesses in droves with no new ones coming on to replace them (look at the town centre) Don’t drive a further death nail into our town before it has a chance to recover or we will end up a town without the shops and services it needs The last thing we need is further incentive to drive customers away from our town centre shops. Period. In any event if a new report is not commissioned showing the basis for this in the current climate any deism can be challenged and will be via judicial review if needs be

Comments: There is nothing in Pembroke Dock worth charging shoppers for...all charges will do is force visitors out of the town, making it even worse for independent traders to earn a living. You should be focusing on bringing people IN TO the town!!

Comments: It is hard enough to park in pembroke dock as most side streets now have residents park in place, which is another example of pembs.county council profiteering, all be it most spaces are vacant during the daytime whilst people are at work.

Comments: I BELIEVE THAT CAR PARKING CHARGES WOULD SERIOUSLY IMPACT ON SHOPPING AND THE LIBRARY IN PEMBROKE DOCK. IT WOULD BE ANOTHER MEANS FOR DRIVING PEOPLE TOWARDS OUT OF TOWN SHOPPING. WE NEED TO ATTRACT PEOPLE INTO THE HEART OF OUR TOWNS WHILST THEY STILL HAVE A HEART. LOOK AT OUR SHOPPING (COMMUNITY)CENTRES AND CONSIDER WHETHER THEY ARE WORTH SAVING. I THINK THEY ARE.
