As neighbors of the Kings Mills neighborhood, we have come together for one common goal. Making our neighborhood safe. Currently, during the school year, students park along all streets within the neighborhood. Many are very courteous. However, most are not. Our properties and property values are being ruined by: Cars driving and parking on our yards Fast food bags and drinks thrown in our yards Finding drug paraphenilia in our yards Loud music Speeding Blocking our driveways While asked to turn down music, being given the middle finger and cussed at Complete lack of respect for all residents Parking on sidewalks Parking beside fire hydrants Parking up to stop signs making it nearly impossible to see oncoming traffic while pulling out We are requesting that Deerfield Township do something regarding the parking situation with the Kings Mills High School immediately. Some suggestions: Start fining the students. Fine the school Tow illegally parked vehicles Morning patrols Afternoon patrols We should all feel safe in our homes and community. It is becoming increasing clear that unless some changes are made this will not happen.
