This may sound trivial. But Limerick City needs to replace the current system of parking discs with on street parking meters. It would make parking in Limerick City more user friendly, especially for tourists, who find themselves wandering around the streets looking for a shop that sells parking discs. Nenagh, a town just 40km from Limerick have solar powered parking meters that repaid their costs within the first year.
