Comments: There just is no way this is fair. Most of the Residents of Escondido do not have the ability to park our vehicles in the driveways of our homes. The housing is built on hills and the vehicles do not fit in the driveways. This would be an injustice to charge us for parking in front of our own homes.

Comments: I live in old escondido, in a house constructed in 1910 with a 1930's garage. I have no other off street parking, and a garage too small to park a car in, short of replacing it with a model T.

Comments: As a tax paying member of this city, community, and country I have the full right to park on the street of my residence if I so please. I totally disagree with the proposed parking ordinance it's ridiculous if not insulting AND yes, yet another pathetic attempt in vieling the true purpose. Shame on the council!

Comments: I live in Old Escondido and many of us do not have driveways. Even if I had a driveway, where would my children park their 3 cars You people do not think about how you are destroying families and neighborhoods when you come up with you discriminatory ideas. Some of you need to resign so we can get people in there who know what they are doing.

Comments: I oppose the parking ordinance prohibiting parking on residential streets at anytime! I believe people that live in the neighborhoods are better at detecting unusual activity. Let's keep this freedom intact for the people; this is the U.S. of America isn't it! Freedom is what we fight for!

Comments: My wife and I live in a studio. We pay rent and have to park on the streets because the it's own by a family. There drive way is full and the street is the only place I can park. I own a car and my wife. I just think the city needs more money and they they are trying to find ways to make it. There are people in the world that's trying to make a living and it's still not good enough. I think there will be a very big problem if the city wants to ban overnight parking on the streets and what ever else they want to do. I vote "NO"

Comments: This is ridiculous. Why should anyone have to pay to obtain a permit to park in front of their own residence My property does not have a driveway at all for off street parking. In addition, many households have teenage children, or young adult children bringing their resident drivers and autos to 3, 4 or even more requiring street parking. Why should families be penalized This is just a way to get more money out of hard working people.

Comments: Trying to control the type of residence within the city doesn't sound much like living in a free country to me. Escondido is taking more and more of our freedoms away and charging us for it. Doesn't the council have more important things to worry about This is going too far.
