Comments: This will be hazardous to the health of children and detrimental to property value. This park is funded from the state and should not be used for commercial gains.

Comments: Unbelievable! We just get the park updated with new tennis courts and new playground equipment to come, and they want to do this! It would destroy property values for the neighborhood besides looking out of place in a park because I would assume that it would have a building for equipment and maybe a fence too.

Comments: I live at 10982 E. Powers Driver, right next to Sunset Park. I am adamantly opposed to the placement of cellular or any other electrical equipment in the park. I moved to this neighborhood 2 1/2 years ago because it is free from cell towers, high-tension power lines and sub-stations. I lived next to "Sunset Park" in the Madison Park subdivision near Orchard & Quebec for 11 years. The high-tension power lines run through this neighborhood, right through/over the park, and there are cell towers close by, as well. I experienced numerous immune system issues, as well as frequent migraines while I lived in that neighborhood. Upon polling many of my neighbors in Madison Park, there seemed to be an abnormally high incidence of various types of cancer, including two women who died of brain cancer within 3 years of each other. So.... I was delighted to find my current home 2 1/2 yrs ago in Cherry Creek Vista, with no power lines or cell towers. It's extremely distressing that they would even consider doing this to a fabulous residential neighborhood and park! So, here's my vote AGAINST this proposal!!!! Sincerely, Lisa Baldwin

Comments: I vehemently oppose this action of placing a cell tower in Sunset Park. Statistics and studies have PROVEN that cell phone towers pose as serious health hazards including: cancer, leukemia, blood disorders, DNA damage, learning disabilities, brain tumors, blood disorders, disturbed sleep, nervousness, dizziness, weakness, pacemaker issues, and the list goes on and on. This action is OBVIOUSLY a danger to everyone living in the area.

Comments: such a construction woul not be allowed on a residence of the Cherry Creek Vista Homeowners Association, so why in a public park bult and funded by and for the homeowners of the area! The health risks are a potential hazard. Like agent orange, the latest discoveries related to the Gulf War etc...risks that seemed far removed have occurred. In the latest case the 1991 very dilute gases have caused white brain matter to slightly degenerate causing the syndrome. It too 15 plus years to scientifically prove. This despite massive denials about any detrimental effects. Same for Agent Orange! Now that the Board of the Recreation Authority knows they should also be aware that they can be held legally accountable throough tort actiions iin the future, and should consult an attorney knowledgable in risk management PRIOR to any actions.

Comments: I am extremely against this tower and/or bulding being put up in the park extremely close to my house. Not only does it affect the comminity with health hazards etc., but it also decreases our house value SIGNIFICANTLY!!

Comments: This idea is an absolute outrage. Nobody living in the area even knew about this issue until the neighbors found it out themselves! The environmental degradation is appalling, and the entire idea is unjust to our community!
