Name: Melanie Patton on May 12, 2007Comments: Sunset Park is a suburban park and I believe it should remain exclusively a park, without commercial/industrial structures or facilities. At the very least, if our Recreation District is considering land use changes in our covenant controlled community, I would appreciate full disclosure of the changes under consideration.Flag

Name: Edmund Klein on May 12, 2007Comments: I find it unbelievable that this decision would have even been contemplated without first consulting the residents of the neighborhood. This is a covenent-controlled residential community. I can't even paint my house without HOA approval. This decision should NOT be based on money. If funding shortfalls are that dire, the matter should be put to the voters.Flag

Name: Lisa Thomas on May 13, 2007Comments: I am opposed to a cellular phone tower at Sunset Park. Cell strength is good enough and if it isn't the best signal...go in the house and use a landline. I would encourage the board to consider the families that use that park, the aesthetics of the neighborhood, and our property values before they enter into a long term contract,Flag

Name: Scott Sorknes on May 13, 2007Comments: We are opposed to the cell tower and building. We purchased the house because of the beautiful park and for the child friendly neighborhood. A cell tower will damage both. If a tower exists, less children will be seen at the park.Flag

Name: Lijing Zhang on May 14, 2007Comments: I oppose the consideration to build a 50 foot cell tower at Sunset Park because I don't think it is wise to sucrifice our health to get money for maintaining our park. I hope the Park Recreation Board set up a meeting with our residents and listen to the opinions from our residents before making any decision.Flag
