Joel Balderas | Que la manden a la cárcel...
Heather | Just because she's Paris Hilton doesn't mean she shouldn't be held accountable for her drunk actions just like any other humanbeing would be. I'm so sick of celebs, like her, getting away with crap just because they have money. What in the world does that teach our children? If her parents controlled her better in her younger years maybe she wouldn't think she was beyond reproach and better then everyone else.
Anonymous | No one is above the law! She must serve her sentence or pursue judicial procedure in filing an appeal. Regardless ... she is NOT above the law!!! Do the crime, pay the time ... stop whining you twit!
Loser McGee | You are a loser, and I think I should win the lottery and throw you out of this restaurant.
Allison | Go to Jail
Alex Rodriguez | Why is she any different than anyone else?
Sara Darnell | Don't let her get off just because of her last name. Be fair and give her jail.
Allison Stone |
David Scott | Anyone else would be in jail. Fair is fair.
Anonymous | any law enforcement agency doing their job doesn't give a sh** whether it's her or some kid from wi. Law is law
Elizabeth Foster | Paris Hilton obviously believes that she is above the law and that she can lie under oath and have everytone okay with that. She had a signed document stanting that she was aware of her suspended license and yet she drove on a suspended license twice (once without headlights). Thankfully she didnt injure anybody, but the next time she may not be so lucky. She needs a major reality check and needs to be punished just like every other citizen of the U.S.A. who are stupid enough to drive drunk.

Michael Maynard | Please do this Justtice
Anonymous | Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
Michelle Wooten | If this were a common everyday person they would be serving the time now. They sure as hell wouldn't have a MONTH to surrender themselves!!! Her parents didn't teach her that even if you are rich you aren't above the law so its up to us as an american society to teach her this lesson!

Patti Davis | I don't agree with everything this petition says, however I do think that she deserves the jail time. She is no better than the rest of us. Nobody can be that naieve to believe that it is okay to drive on a suspended license and there should be NO CONSEQUENCES. She must follow the same laws as everyone else. If this happened to me - I would have to go to jail - so why should she be any diffferent just because she is a so-called celebrity!
Anonymous | It's about time.
bianca | Paris must serve time in jail! Who does she think she is.

Anonymous | I do not understand why her family is astonished. I have known people who have gotten the same sentence for the same thing. Important to note - the violations she is charged with are only the ones where she GOT CAUGHT... just think how many other times she should have gotten a ticket or DUI.....

Bob Issler | Paris definatly needs to go to jail to serve the time for the crime she commited.

| 30 | Carl Sazer | Why should she be let off?
Rules must be equal for all !! |
Anonymous | she definitely deserves to go to jail
Anonymous | i don't think anyone should go without punisement she did the crime she should do the time i know its corney but its true
Anonymous | SEND PARIS TO JAIL! Please, Gov. Schwarzenegger, she deserves it!!!
Joel Falk | That's how justice is supposed to work - no matter who you are, if you break the law you should pay the price.
Anonymous | Paris Hilton should be treated the same as any other citizen who violates probation. It is time that celebrities and rich people get the same treatment as everyone else. Money does not make you above the law or better than anyone else. She obviously does not think the law applies to her or any other of her spoiled, bratty, out of reality friends. If you can't do the time don't do the crime!! Simple as that. NO SPECIAL TREATMENT FOR PARIS HILTON PLEASE!! She should know that there are consequences to her action. A lesson her parents obviously never taught her.
| 36 | Anonymous | Paris thinks she is ABOVE the law, because of her families money. She needs to know how the rest of us are treated if we would of done the same thing.
If she does get "pardoned" then I have to wonder who got paid off !!! |
Anonymous | Paris is a hoebag and needs to go to jail HAHAHAH
Anonymous | She deserves to go to jail. Who does she think she is? She broke the law and, like anyone else, should go to jail for it. She is so self-important and her mother is disgraceful, commenting about the money she spent to get her daughter off. Disgusting!! If she wants to REALLY set an example, she should do the right thing. Do the crime; do the time!

Rich | The excuse that other celebrities have gotten off with a slap on the wrist for similar or more severe cases is no justification. She broke the law, she should be dealt appropriate punishment. Jail time for DUI and violating probabation is very appropriate. Each individual is responsible for his or her own actions, not their publicist.

Suzannah Hyatt | Just because she is a so called celebrity, who rides on the back of her family name and 'does she work???', if she has been drinking and driving then she should be jailed, she could have easily killed someones child, if she is let off it will keep happening until she causes a death
Mel Sat | She thinks that she is being unfairly punished because of who she is...if she wasn't punished, then she would actually be receiving special treatment. I'm a Criminal Justice major and I know that just because she is a celebrity doesn't mean that she is above the law- maybe she should take some classes and she would know this. If you do the crime, then do the time. If you don't think that you deserve jail, then don't drive on a suspended liscense when you've received a written notice that it is suspended. No one ever said that criminals are smart.
Arnold Schwarzenegger | I will punish her.
Tracey Eckert | I humbly work each and every day to earn an honest crust. I drive my car with sobriety and in accordance with the law. If I were to even be caught speeding I would expect punishment. Spoilt brat Hilton has only herself to blame, she is NOT a celebrity, she is just born with a silver spoon in her mouth and thinks money can buy you everything including a clean rap sheet. Send her to jail - she has committed the crime, now she has to do the time DON'T let her throw money at the courts and get away with it. She knowingly drove a car - which is a killing machine whilst under the influence THEN assumed she was above the law by violating her conditions. She is an adult in her late twenties, she knows the score, she cannot hide behind being naive. ONLY YOURSELF to blame and being sent down for 45 days is NOT being made an example of, other DUI's can get 18 months. DEAL WITH IT
Anonymous | She needs to be taught a lesson. She is an adult and needs to learn what being an adult means. Read your mail, Paris. You are seen as a role model to so many young kids (naive kids at that!), don't teach them to drink and drive. Maybe 45 days is too long, but at least put in no less than 20.
Anonymous | Paris should go to jail. I'm sick and tired of Hollywood debutants thinking that they can get away with anything and everything. So what you made a half assed album where you sound like a robot and acted in a couple straight to rental movies. It's pathetic. These little late teens early 20's children running around spending daddys money on drugs and alcohol and no one cares or pays any attention to them. Its disgusting every other week these girls are engaged to some other guy and spreading her legs for another. She should go to jail just like any other citizen should have to. No special treatment because her father is rich. My daddy's wealthy as well but he actually took the time to teach me some morals and values. Instead of pawning me off on nannies and other substitutes for parents. Try giving something other than an STD back to the community then maybe you could get sympathy for breaking the law. It's just plain pathetic to think that there is chance she might get away with a crime because of who she is, espcially when she really isn't anyone at all. Paris Hilton is nothing but a plastic shell with no actual morals, values, belief systems or self respect.
