To: The Honorable Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger Paris Whitney Hilton may be \"an American celebrity and socialite\" and an \"heiress,\" but she is not above the law. She did something that is against the law and she did it more than once. She has continually thumbed her nose at the Law, the Court, and the Police by repeatedly driving with a suspended license. She was first caught for a DUI and after trying to deflect the blame onto someone else (her publicist), she made a decision to get behind the wheel when she was forbidden by the State of California to do so. This woman must serve out her sentence. First of all, it was a light sentence. Secondly, if you pardon her, it will show to the American Public that you condone her behavior. Third, if she is pardoned, it will confirm her beliefs that she is above the law and does not have to follow the laws laid down by the California State Government, to which you are the leader. Fourth, if she is pardoned, the American Public will see that if one is a celebrity, one does not have to follow the law. We, the American Public who do not support Paris, are shocked, dismayed and appalled by how Paris has been acting. She says that she does not support Drunk Driving and that she thinks it is \"wrong.\" This is clearly untrue, as she was charged with a DUI. Her petition to you says, \"Paris should have been sober. But she shouldn\'t go to jail, either.\" YES SHE SHOULD. Paris Hilton was not sober. Driving while intoxicated is against the law. Therefore, Paris Hilton should have to serve her sentence. Her petition says, \"Paris Hilton did not hurt, injure, or kill anyone or anything, and yet she must do jail time.\" SHE SHOULD SERVE HER SENTENCE. This sentence may teach her and help her so that next time she is behind the wheel, she doesn\'t hurt, injure, or kill anyone. This petition is to ask Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to NOT pardon Paris Hilton for her blatant disregard for the Law, the Court, and Lawmakers, such as yourself.
