Comments: We have three daughters in this school system and none of them have ever felt threatened, or that their privacy was being abused, at any time. Every teacher and staff member that they have been associated with has been above reproach.

Comments: This is an excellent school district with extraordinary teachers and administration. I have the utmost confidence that they have the academic education and overall development as whole, healthy and sucessful individuals for our children as the their guiding mission and passion. I am confident that the actions that need to be taken to develop policies around laptop use and security can be developed in a timley and appropriate way, certainly without litigation. These are professional educators who deserve our respect and support.

Comments: I wish the parents of the boy could have handled this differently and brought about a policy change for lap top use and privacy in a less dramatic way. Our family and friends in Boston have all heard about this in the news. I suppose it has intriguing plot elements: voyeurism, David and Goliath, etc... I hope it's handled quickly and in a way that keeps the trust that the students have for the integrity of the school system.

Comments: I agree that is part of the education process for children to learn discretion. It is a privilege to be provided with the use of a free laptop and as such, should be earned and appreciated with the willingness to adhere to a certain level of conduct.

Comments: I believe that if the facts show that the LMSD acted properly, that the LMSD, which has suffered from this suit, should aggresively counterclaim against the plaintiff and their counsel to make an example that if you have a problem, talk to the schools first, do not just file a lawsuit.

Comments: great job. thx for doing something to 1) generate some positive media reporting on this incident and 2) put some public pressure to settle. Is there something we can do to "opt out" of being part of the class in this class action suit? That would be good for publicity and make the potential attys fees smaller for the other side. Comments: Our children have the opportunity to learn that reason and equanimity are essential to effective working relationships. Let's teach them by example and foster fair, rational and truthful communications in the context of shared values. It would be tragic for them to learn that "greed is good" rather than "cooperation produces results." Thank you.

Comments: I am in full support of LMSD, and feel as if the boy's family has blown this WAY out of proportion! He was not to have taken the laptop home because he lost the one prior to this and therefore the school had every right to snap a photo, due to the fact that once again, they thought this computer had been lost/stolen
