We are a group of parents who are dedicated to the safety of children. Our school Del Mar Elementary, in Morro Bay California has had many serious safety flaws and it is only a matter of time before a child gets hurt or worse. The school butts up against a public park and public parking lot. There has been very unsavory people crossing through campus, using the children bathrooms while school is in session. We need a fence as a protective barrier. The School District has said in letters that they want to maintain a "non-fenced look". We as parents will not sacrifice our children's safety for look. The Superintendant said it is not about money. He said if we can prove to him that the people want it, he will put it in. We are asking any and all to help us protect our children.
