The petition
As a parent of a child 18 years or younger, I wish to make my voice heard.
My parental rights have been compromised by the state and federal systems which allow medical doctors and psychiatrists to prescribe dangerous psychotropic drugs to my child, without my full informed consent as to the potential risks of these drugs. Most of these drugs are NOT approved by the US FDA for use in children. Yet, they are still prescribed at alarming rates.
As a parent, I demand to be fully informed of the dangers and risks of these drugs when and if they are prescribed to my child. I wish to be fully informed of all alternatives to placing my child on powerful psychotropic drugs PRIOR to any evaluation that may occur via my child's school. I wish to be made aware that my child's diagnosis of any mental "illness" is purely and utterly scientifically unsubstantiated as there are no physical tests for any such "diseases".
Further I demand to retain full power of choice with regard to my child's health and not be legally penalized by any government group, such as Child Protective Services or Department of Children and Families, should I decide not to place my child on mind altering drugs.
I hereby demand FULL INFORMED CONSENT as the legal parent of my child and demand to retain the right to make all decisions regarding the health and well-being of my child.
