Comments: 3/11/10 Dear Gov. Paterson: I think it is imperative that you pardon John White. I don't think he could get a fair trial in the county of which he was convicted, Please consider where the alleged crime took place, on his property. There has been a case where a person killed two guys on someone else property and was not even indicted. Remember, to top this off, it was an accident. The gun went off through a struggle.

We should be striving to live the life of an innocent baby and to avoid doing anything that will cause G-d to frown. This will guarantee us the highest respect and honor. Let Freedom Ring.

Comments: Dear Gov. Patterson, As an African American, a voter, and as one who has supported you throughout your career, I am requesting that you as Governor, use your power of pardon, which you have already exercised in other cases, to pardon John White. I know that your eyesight does not keep you from seeing the vast injustice done to Mr. White and his family. If we as African Americans cannot protect ourselves and family, even on our own property, then we might as well tell our family & children that they should not look to us for protection. As a man, not a black man but a man, it is our obligation to protect and defend or family, friends & community. For me, this is a litmus test for all Black elected officials, activist, etc. If you are afraid to stand for justice, there is no need in you remaining to serve out your term. Resign Immediately! I would have taken the same action, if I had a weapon. "A Man who has nothing they would die for, doesn't deserve to live" Martin Luther King. If you won't die trying to protect your family, then you are a poor excuse of a MAN!

Comments: This case involves a blatant attempt to deny Mr. White his constitutional rights. Furthermore, it has the smell of racial bigotry that stinks from here to Mars! It would be beyond a travesty of justice to allow this kind of double standard to prevail and that would send this man to prison for trying to protect his family from a bunch of racist hoodlums who were threatening their lives and who had illegally trespassed on Mr. White's property!

Comments: Dear Governor Patterson, as you know every life in creation was giving the right by its creator to protect itself an loved ones. If a mob came on your property and threatened to rape your wife and murder your family, you may have done exactly like Mr. John White did or be slaughtered. Mr. Governor, you have the support of your constituents and the power of the law within your hands to pardon Mr. White and set him free.

Comments: How could this be? A Black man defending his family and property from a racist mob who were trespalling on his property and refused to leave. It could and would never happen had his skin been without melanin. This is a grave travesty of justice. Can Blacks ever get justice in these United States?
