Comments: I could never believe she was convicted on so little, and cannot understand the basis for her not being given a pardon at the time.

Comments: after reading three very well researched books on the ripper case i believe that mrs maybrick is innocent of the charge of murder and that another person/persons was responsible. she was held on an injustice with reasonable doubt and was not tried for the crime under which sentance she was held.

Comments: Of course she was not guilty. Her "crime" uncannily parallels that of Edith Carew, who was found guilty of poisoning her husband in Japan about the same time. Her husband, too, was an arsenic addict.

Comments: i have spent over 7 years studying this case. I wrote and performed a stage play based on this case in Melbourne 2005. Poor Florence is indeed innocent of the crimes levelled against her. Such injustice.
