Final supporters
The singer Lhasa de Sela passed away on January 1st, 2010. She was 37 years old. We would like to honour her memory by naming a currently nameless park after her, which is situated at the heart of her beloved neighbourhood in which she spent her final years. Her undeniable talent, the power of her songs and performances and her authenticity all contributed greatly to the blossoming of an incredible artistic community, and with the help of this park, her memory will serve to inspire generations to come.

I spent the morning walking through the park again thinking about how it would feel to finally see her name etched on a sign there while I listen to her music on loop. People have been messaging me such beautiful stories about what her voice meant to them during hard times and I am honestly overwhelmed by how much she still matters to all of us.

I was looking at the screen and realized we are almost at a hundred names which is just wild to think about honestly. If everyone reading this could just get one more person to click the link right now we would fly right past that goal and it would really force the city to look at what we are doing here.

Excellente idée, si un jour je retourne à Montréal, je ne manquerai pas d'aller visiter ce parque. Lhasa, tu nous manqueras toujours, je garde toujours la photo prise avec toi à la fin du concert à Bordeaux il y a près de 10 ans maintenant, cétait tout simplement grandiose ! "je me souviens"....
