Name: Anonymous on Jan 22, 2013Comments: Potton is a small town consisting of people with a good community spirit, who value their local area, and any intention for any group of people to be accomodated in a way that brings a legacy of unlawfulness, environmental untidyness and discord with the communty in general will be most strongly contested.Flag

Name: Michelle Garner on Jan 22, 2013Comments: I am against this travellers site, as we already have a site in potton and where this proposed site is, it is right on one of the main roads coming into Potton and near the park which is taking away the beauty and village feel of Potton.Flag

Name: Adam Wakeling on Jan 22, 2013Comments: Wherever these people go they leave a wake of destruction and misery behind them. I and many other people have had bad experiences while these so called travellers have been in the local vicinity. We pay our taxes and obey the laws of government so we should we suffer when these people get away with what they do. It seems that the authorities do not want to know. This is why I am signing this petition.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 22, 2013Comments: This will be the ruin of the area. I myself have avoided buying a house near to a site in the past. Helicopters always circle the one in Potton and a remote village does not need any nuicance or anything that will effect the security and well being of its residents, many elderly and vulnerable. No,No,NO to this!!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 22, 2013Comments: There are a number of new developments planned for Potton which will stretch the infrastructure. The proposed traveller site is large and will put further strain on town facilities. There is already an existing site in the town, isn't this enough?Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 22, 2013Comments: It is very unfair on Potton residents that multiple sites are being proposed in and around Potton. The site we already have is larger than what the new sites would be.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 23, 2013Comments: There as been no consultation with local residents and there appears to be an inbalance of provision of travellers sites across Central Beds. Localism should be considered and the views of the local communities and the Parish Council's fully considered and accepted. There seems to be total disregard and lack of respect from Central Beds in this matterFlag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 23, 2013Comments: I believe that the proposals are disproportionately weighted against Sandy and its neighbours and also believe that our local infrastructure will struggle further to supply the needs of its residents. I believe that future wellbeing of our community will be adversely affected and that there has been a fundamental lack of respect, regard and moral consideration afforded to Sandy and its neighbours.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 23, 2013Comments: I do not feel that it is necessary for additional traveller sites in and around Potton itself, the council has already provided one site which is situated in Common Road, built approximately 25 years ago. Consequently, I think this site is more than adequate for the capacity of Potton, taking into consideration it is a small town. Furthermore, I do not understand why the sites cannot be more widespread around Bedfordshire. Some towns in the county do not have even one site., which I think is unfair for Potton residents who are against more travellers and feel uncomfortable and unsafe with them living near them.Flag
