Name: KC Garrison on Aug 12, 2002State: WACountry: USComments: I'm so sick of these god damn idiotic studios only releasing Widescreen movies in Pan and Scan on DVD. With DVD's great picture quality and HDTVs being Widescreen, DVDs MUST be in widescreen. They also look good on a normal 4x3 TV. I don't mind the black bars any. As long as I'm getting the WHOLE PICTURE!!!Flag

Name: Ima D0rk on Aug 12, 2002State: WACountry: USComments: Well, duh. Please stop trying to speak for us, Ken Garrison. You are an uneducated simpleton who has not had running water in his home for almost a year. You're certainly not fit to lead. Much like your inane, incoherent ramblings on the HTF, you've overstepped the boundaries of your limited mental capacity and publicly embarrassed yourself yet again. Get back in line with everyone else and shut up. Thanks.Flag

Name: Dmitry Apresian on Aug 12, 2002State:Country:Comments: Please -- always make the movies available to view at home the same way they were shown in theaters. That means NO Pan and Scan -- not for 4x3 TVs, nor for 16x9 TVs either. Original Aspect Ratio SHOULD be available regardless of whether you would like to issue a separate P&S release or not.Flag

Name: Chad Wichterman on Dec 18, 2003State: PACountry: USComments: I my self do not buy dvds that are pan and scan only wide. If the program or movie was originally shot in it's origianl ratio of full frame than that is different but they can be reformatted in widescreen so our widescreen tv's won't have a square box in the middle of the screen. Full frame suck and widescreen is better! I wish those who perfer pan and scan (full frame) would get with it!Flag

Name: Brandy Giesbrecht on Apr 16, 2005State:Country: CAComments: I work in a video store and do the studios realize how much torment they inflict on our lives from the wretched people that will only watch movies in a fullscreen format and then bitch when we don't have it. Make then all widescreen please because it's easier on people only having the one choice plus widescreen is the only way to watch a movie.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 25, 2007State: FLCountry: USComments: Many, Many people still have older TV's (Many of us only live paycheck to paycheck)-- Pan and scan, AKA Fullscreen, shows better on these tv's. You can barely see a widescreen movie on an older tv. I hate "widescreen only" movies. How about we make dvd's where there is a choice.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 1, 2010State:Country:Comments: As a first step, DVD releasers should be officially forbidded from using the term "fullscreen" since ALL TVs sold today are widescreen. A "fullscreen" movie no longer fills your screen, but has those ludicrous black bars on the left and right, cutting off 30% or more of the movie.Flag
