Name: Denis Logan on Jun 18, 2007Comments: I believe the City is restricting my legal right to do business. The City Manager used the terms "Ready to do battle against Real Estate Agents" & "I will not be reasonable on this subject". This hostility against a major Palm Coast industry can not be tolerated. Remember on Election Day to vote and remove the complete city counsel. They are the ones that hired this City Manger, and he does their bidding.Flag

Name: Jan Fazzini on Jun 18, 2007Comments: If we don't put our signs out how are people to know where the open house is. In this market, making very little money , not every one can advertise in the newspaper. The officals in Palm Coast in my knowledge of putting my signs out have code inforcement to pick them up in this market especially is awful.Flag

Name: Margaret Torell on Jun 18, 2007Comments: Open House signs bring people who are looking for homes, & are afraid to make a commitment with a Realtor. They bring buyers to homes they would not normally see & sometimes results in a sale. WE NEED OPEN HOUSE SIGNS OUT THERE.Flag

Name: John Dysart on Jun 18, 2007Comments: This regulation does nothing bu hard the residents of Palm Coast that desire or have a need to sell their home. Becuase of the complicated street patterns it is impossible to guide potential buyers to an open house. I like the fact that we have a strict sign ordanance but this is a little overboard. If the signs don't come down after 5pm on sunday.................take them and burn them.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jun 18, 2007Comments: As bad as the market is . It is an insult for them to stop the open house signs. If political signs can be put out, than open house signs can also. They can have the home address on it and be picked up at night. Are they trying to run the Realtors out of business, no call list, now no open house signs .Flag

Name: John Adams on Jun 18, 2007Comments: Real estate represents a substantial portion of the work force in Flagler County. In Palm Coast in particular it is very difficult to hold an open house without signage. We really need to consider our priorities with regard to an asthetics issue two days per week compared to the livelihood of the Realtors, Mortgage Brokers, Home Inspectors, Title Company employees, and related services.Flag

Name: Donna DeMeglio on Jun 18, 2007Comments: Open House signs are vital part of our real estate business and also a very expenses product to have to repeatly replace. Sellers today expect Realtors to host open house, put out sign and get their properties sold. Mandating "NO SIGN LAW" is determinant to our city and residents.Flag

Name: Carol Deacon on Jun 18, 2007Comments: The citizens oif Flagler County need the realtors help to sell homes. This is more important that any other signs!!! These are hoimeowners, residents, etc. who need our (realtors) help. We are in a state of "crisis" in Flagler County to get our homes sold. I personally have sold 50% of my listings on open houses!!!!!!!!! I know this is a viable avenue to help get our homes sold. We have an attritian rate of 4%!!!!! That's ubsurb, and our residents deserve every avenue a realtor can take to help effect a sale. Flagler County, and Palm Coast City are doing an INJUSTICE to the residents who what to sell for whatever reason. I came here from Boca Raton, FL. Probably the most beautiful city in the country, and I NEVER HAD MY OPEN HOUSE SIGNS PULLED!!!!!! Why Because the signs are only up for a few hours. They DO help Buyers, they DO help sellers, and if Boca Raton can put up with it, so can Flagler County. I am infuriated by the council people who have NOT responded to my plea. I represent Buyers and Sellers who need this service, desperately. If you want this county to get back on track, you need Realtors to be able to WORK THE MARKET.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Flag

Name: Charlotte Alewine on Jun 18, 2007Comments: If all codes were enforced it would be one thing but they are NOT so why single out the Open House signs. I am beginning to wonder just what kind of kick back they get from the News Journal as that is the only other way to let people know of an open house.Flag

Name: Kory Grayson on Jun 18, 2007Comments: Please help us in our efforts to help all of the Sellers in this down market to add every marketing benefit we can. We all spend tons of money to advertise in newspapers, etc. and Buyers need a guide to get to these homes that are open. The signs can cost up to $100 each and please prove to me that they cause a traffic problem. or a menace to society. I can understand the City or County taking them on Mon. if they are left out, but why should the taxpayers pay extra money to hire city or county employees on overtime to collect them on Sat. and Sun. Thank you.Flag
