Currently, over 106,000 Vermonters have NO paid sick days to take care of themselves and their family. In hard economic times, Vermonters should not have to choose between their health and paying for food, fuel or rent. With 26% of Vermonters not making a livable wage, tens of thousands without health insurance and fuel cost soaring we must make sure all Vermonters have Livable Jobs.
We will be working closely with partners Voices for Vermont�s Children and the Vermont Workers Center on different components of the campaign, as well as other unions, advocacy organization and business groups. Additionally, we will be working with students at University of Vermont Medical School to look at the public health implications of lack of paid sick days.
