    Comments: Low wage and part-time workers bear the brunt of workplace practices that fail to support families. In the end, everyone loses -- workers infect their co-workers, children are left home unattended, and aging parents suffer the indignities of being unable to care for themselves. This is wrong. A caring employer fosters employees who care about the business. A worker who can care for her family with paid sick time knows that her responsibility to her family is valued, and will be a responsible employee.
