This petition was created to encourage the FCC to force regulate the paid media world such as cable TV and satellite radio. My reasoning should be obvious. The FCC regulates the over the air broadcast media world as to what people can say and do without getting called onto the carpet for their sins. Why shouldn't the subscription-based world have to be regulated as they are? I believe there's too much garbage being put out on cable (on regular TV too, but that's beside the point) that isn't getting regulated and I also believe our nation's getting too secular for our own good. Far more than what our founding fathers and previous generations could've even imagined. This petition is not to infringe on anyone's freedom of speech, expression or any other freedom. However, It's simply to attempt to reign in the secularization and filth of subscription-based media offerings and content today. In trade: If my target is reached or blown away, I'll openly support same sex marriage.
