As many students at Denefield School, Reading, Berkshire, may have noticed, there is a green fence covering part of the field. Now, this was put in to reduce litter, and if anything it is increasing it. It is also increasing the tension between many pupils, and more fights are breaking out as people are bunched closer together with people they may dislike. This makes the teachers have to work harder, and means that in general, there is a breakdown of behaviour. The fence is breaking in parts- It is poorly built, and comes out of the ground in places. The bolts in the poles supporting the fence are sticking out, which can cause injury, such as the one on my left arm. In general, a lot of students are unhappy about this 'Cage'. It makes people a lot more unsettled, and when it starts getting hot in summer, there is barely any shade. This Petition is aimed at getting rid of this plight, known under many names, such as the 'Cage', The 'Denefield Zoo', The 'Prison' and more.
