They worry too much about booting furres in the road, yet ignore real problems. It's not a huge problem, but they should work on trying to improve things if possible.Flag

Name: Private Party on Sep 29, 2002State: TXCountry: USComments: Please note that this is not in support of you or your "petition". Perhaps nobody aside from yourself will know that, but it's just as well. It's noted that you've altered slightly the previous petition and moved it elsewhere, so as to possibly avoid having the same downfall happen to this petition as happened to the last one. I must congratulate you on your efforts, but they still seem to prove insufficient. "Players who request the assistance of a Guardian in a severe or important situation, which requires immediate or long term resolve such as character theft, hacking attempts, and threats, are often given the run around with no real resolve. Some Guardians may indeed file a complaint in some cases, but the majority of reports are never followed up nor does the player receive feedback of any kind." These three things.. character theft, hacking attempts, and threats.. require that the decision making process take longer as it's a more serious situation. They need more checking into, and I believe you'd be just as irate if the Guardians unjustly punished -you- for an alleged "hacking attempt" or threat. One must look deep into such matters before making a decision, as the punishments are more severe than simple filter dodging or the likes (though I'm not entirely sure of the meaning nor the punishments for alleged "hacking attempts", and I'd have to check further into the matter). "In most cases, Guardians abuse their privilege of banning by using it on players whom slightly or entirely block dreams, paths, and roads instead of the individuals who require and justify the need for such punishment for actions such as character theft, harassment, and threats." You continue yo get your terms incorrect. Hopefully, it's by accident and not just an attempt to add more "power" to your cause through forced misperceptions. Most Guardians do -not- have the power to ban. They may be able to block or boot, but the majority, if I'm not mistaken, haven't the ability to ban on their own. A ban is a machine ban. Meaning that the computer that you are on no longer is able to connect to Furcadia. For life. That is a ban. A ban is permanent. And this has had to be clarified by Felorin many times to many confused furres who claimed to have been banned. Whenever a Guardian boots or blocks somebody for a time, the matter is automatically logged. When a Guardian boots a player, they must be prepared to justify their decision should it seem inappropriate. Now, as for "players whom slightly or entirely block dreams, paths, and roads".. when they are -booted- or blocked, that is justified, and I believe that these offending furres are warned to move before booting occurs, as well. Blocking takes place for more severs matters or for repeat offenders/constant and purposeful trouble makers. So, your claim regarding "banning" players for minor matters and not those who "require and justify the need for such punishment for actions such as character theft, harassment, and threats" is null and void. Booting, blocking (suspending), and banning are three different forms of rule enforcement and must not be confused with one another. From the original way you've worded it, you wish to have Guardians booting those who have stolen characters and ignoring those who are blocking dreams and the like. Highly illogical and flawed thought process, if I do say so myself. "In most cases, the Guardians ignore views and opinions held as unpopular or wrong in the opinion of the Guardian Council." Do you have an appropriate sample group to make this claim "In most cases" would require the vast majority of cases involving the Guardians and the decisions they make to be "wrong" in comparison to those of the Guardian Heads. Were that the case, why are there so many Guardians, still Were, "in most cases", Guardians acting in ways contrary to the viewpoint of those who have the power to admonish, punish, and remove offending Guardians from the Guardian system, there would be a large turnover rate. However, that is not the case. Until you can provide some evidence proving that you have an adequate sample group to make your claim of "most cases", I suggest you refrain from publicly making that a part of your "case" against the Guardian system. "but why is such instrumental power, intended to enforce the rules fairly, given to those who have egos and find gratification in abusing their power in some cases" Every single individual has an ego. It's like saying you have a temperature when you're at 101F. You -always- have a temperature. Everyone has an attitude. Just the same as everyone has thoughts, ideas, and opinions. You will not find a single person who does not have some sort of ego. Their egos may vary, but every single individual has this attribute. Those who abuse power are admonished and punished accordingly. In the Guardian selection process, they take into consideration your past actions and ability to remain level-headed in heated situations. For the ability to calmly handle possibly volatile situations and to make good, just decisions. If I'm not mistaken, they also take into consideration your record. Your rap sheet. I may be mistaken, though, so I won't claim that point (regarding the rap sheet) to be 100% correct. At any rate. It's highly improbable that, "in most cases", these negatively biased Guardians somehow manage to get through every screening process and then finally acquiring enough training to gain their actual badge, thereby granting them "Guardian power". It must be noted, however, that different levels of Guardians have different access to certain functions, if I'm not mistaken. So, when these living, breathing individuals make it through the screening process, the interview process, the training process.. you claim that they are in fact abusive, "egotistical" (using the term in the negative reference as you, yourself implied) power freaks Once more, your claim seems unfounded, and you've yet to supply the public with -any- sort of test set, let alone an adequate one. Without such, your claims are honestly nothing more than words. Not to trivialize it.. but without these things, your claims are hollow, your standpoint has no basis, and your words are nothing more than words. "It is the goal of this petition to demonstrate that stricter guidelines and long term evaluations should be implicated when choosing those who will enforce the rules and have so much power over those around them." Do you really know as to what the guidelines are, what evaluations occur before as well as -during- a Guardian's joining of the program Evaluations and judgments are made even after being accepted into the system. While I'm glad to see you've finally decided on a goal as to what you're trying to accomplish, it seems to be quite the flimsy standpoint with no evidence, appropriate test groups to back up your blatant claims, or comparison of current procedures with those you wish to see put in place. I must note, though, that "and have so much power over those around them" makes it seem that "those around them" are possibly envious of that power. Seeing as you are the author of this petition, and not written by all of those who would make up "those around" the Guardians.. would it be a valid evaluation of your feelings If not, I suggest rewording. Those who are put into positions of Guardian are chosen for the ability to make good, level headed decisions. Along with such, they don't view it as having "power" over everyone else. The ones who have no need nor desire for "power" or domination over others are the ones who tend to be accepted into the Guardians. They (the Guardians) are furres just like you and I. Individuals on a game in which the masses make up the whole. They shouldn't be separated from "those around them", as they're no different. They simply have been given the burden of enforcing the rules and dealing with the most troublesome of fellow furres over all of Furcadia. Perhaps the problem you have with them comes with the view you seem to have taken. The thought that the Guardians are separate from the general population. They -are- part of the general population, and are often treated unjustly by other furres because they've been put in a position of rule enforcement. If one could see past their assumed "power", perhaps there wouldn't be such a strong desire to attack the group in such passive aggressive manners while providing no evidence or adequate test groups. At all. Better luck next time.Flag

Name: Keith Weaver on Feb 13, 2008State: CACountry: USComments: Dear Madam or Sir, My family is in need of a good lawyer in the State of Nevada (Northern) to assist us in going after a guardian for profit that nearly wiped all the estates assets of my step-father. The family in attempt to conserve the assets of the estate were referred by a state agency to a guardian who at first we though was just terrific....but we were in for a big surprise when they turned our world up-side down. I have plenty of documentation and need to find someone who will fight for us and who wants to see that justice is served.......... that means will look at our case and not as an client (or asset). I have come to realize that the attorneys we have been involved with have been horrible and I can't help feeling that everything is conspiracy to commit fraud. In addition to nearly wiping out the estate finances the care for my step-father was awful and he nearly died under their care (lack of). Well I could go on and on and on with facts and details. So far everyone I have contacted (Senior Coalition, Senior abuse, Elderly Abuse as well as Guardian Attorneys) others on line all of them did not respond to my email............so I am not expecting any response... but I will keep searching for someone. Please let me know where I can turn to for some answers for myself and other family members. Sincerely, Keith Weaver Keith Weaver Insurance Services 1776 Almaden Rd., #701 San Jose, CA 95125 Ph (408) 264-3805 Fax (408) 371-3115 e-mailFlag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 14, 2012State:Country:Comments: Thanks for helping me to achieve new ideas about personal computers. I also hold the belief that one of the best ways to maintain your notebook computer in primary condition has been a hard plastic-type material case, or even shell, which fits over the top of one's computer. These kind of protective gear tend to be model distinct since they are manufactured to fit perfectly within the natural covering. You can buy these directly from the owner, or from third party places if they are readily available for your notebook computer, however not all laptop can have a shell on the market. Once again, thanks for your points. jordan 10Flag
