Last year at Sandra Tovar Medeiros Elementary School in Turlock, California many parents did not know the school had banned Halloween festivities at school such as dressing up for Halloween, Halloween parade and passing out candy.

The parents just received a notice from the principal that the school will not allow Halloween festivities to take place at school this year. Since, then many schools in California have put a ban on Halloween in school and the school board say there is nothing anyone can do because the decision is final.

The response was the same for Apricot Valley Elementary School in Patterson, California and that is a shame how traditions will be lost if voices are not heard.
