A fundamental right of every Pakistani is the ability to choose their representatives in the National and Provision Assemblies as stipulated by Constitution of Pakistan.

Overseas Pakistanis constitute a significant size of the electorate coming from all across Pakistan. The Pakistani Diaspora is spread over one hundred countries around the world. The Election Commission of Pakistan must ensure that their intrinsic constitutional right must be safe guarded and their voices must be heard in the up-coming general elections of 2013.

Among other factors Overseas Pakistan contribute to Pakistan's economy by sending over $10 billion in remittances annually to family and friend back home. This amount is far greater than any financial aid received by the government of Pakistan annually. The Election Commission of Pakistan should take all the necessary steps to ensure that the Overseas Pakistan are not kept des-enfranchised any longer then they have been already.
