Name: Betsy G. Neisner on Sep 19, 2011Comments: I am one of the women who had to switch to a more primitive and far more toxic chemotherapy drug, with no advance warning, when there was a manufacturing delay. There is no guarantee when or if I can return to my prior regimen, a widely used and effective treatment for ovarian and other recurrent cancers. The replacement drug left me nauseated for over six weeks, made me miss work and interfered with my ability to care for my children. The manufacturer and distributor have given no definitive reason why there is a delay. There are medical treatments at stake and lives at stake, not widgets and corporate profits. This country prides itself not only on doing well but also on doing good. Please join OCNA and me in advocating for a solution.Flag
