I support the implementation of a NEW MODEL OF FOOD SERVICE for Oakland Unified Schools based on the recommendations of OUSD’s Rethinking School Lunch Feasibility Study, which proposes comprehensive Nutrition Services transformation. Substantially improved school meals are important, not only to OUSD students’ academic success, but also to their social, emotional and physical health.
