Name: David Haddock on Mar 26, 2007Comments: I was a player at WOS on the 1985, 1986 & 1987 teams. We played BC many, many times at their field and ours. Every game was highly competitive because of Coach Young and Coach Ronnie Anderson (WOS). These 2 men were great friends and stood for everything that is right about high school athletics. I didn't know coach Young well as a person but can only imagine the admiration his former players have for him as we at WOS have for coach Anderson. I did know coach Young's son Joey (1987 as well) more on a personal level and can only say that the apple didn't fall far from the apple tree. His success speak for itself. God Bless....David HaddockFlag

Name: James Hooker on Mar 26, 2007Comments: Coach young was a true coach -- He taught --he was not like the so called coaches of to day that have to have their boys taught at $100.00 a hour or be on a select team before he would give them a chance ( He was there for the the kids not for hisself). I wish there were a lot of coach Youngs out there.Flag

Bridge City is lucky to have had a man of his caliber teaching their children how the game should be played and enjoyed. He deserves this honor.Flag
