| 302 | Tom Woolley | I coached for/with Coach Young for more than 15 years at Bridge City as freshman and JV baseball coach. I learned very much from Coach Young. I consider him a super coach, teach, colleague, and friend. But, above all he is a WINNER on and off the field. |

| 307 | Ervin Prince | As a BCHS alum (Class of '63), I have followed with pride the many accomplishments of the BCHS Baseball Cardinals over the years. Little did I know during my years in the military that the fortunes of that team were guided by Coach Chuck Young. What a great tribute to Coach Young's leadership and record of achievement it would be to have Cardinal Field renamed "Chuck Young Field" on the day of his induction into the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. I went to Bridge City schools for 12 years, and I moved away in 1967, but I've always been proud to call Bridge City my home. Many of our pioneering educational leaders have been honored by having schools named for them, and this just seems to be the logical next step. Go Cardinals!!! |

| 317 | Susan Hebert Skinner | I was a graduate of the class of '75. I find it fitting to name the baseball field after Coach Young. He was a very outstanding coach. |
| 318 | Ken Sury | I was a sports writer and sports editor at the Orange Leader in the early '90s and covered Coach Young's teams. I enjoyed writing about his teams throughout, but especially in 1992 when they reached the 4A state title game and 1993 when they lost in the regional final.
I have the utmost respect and admiration for him as a coach and a person. I consider him a friend, and naming Cardinal Field after him would be a most deserving honor. |
