203 Donito BurgessCoach Young set the standard! Every coach and player for the Cards will forever try to carry on what Coach Young started. P.S.- My class left a lot to be desired ;)

215 Erin Young McCrackenMy granddad is Coach Chuck Young, ever sense I was born I have come to know baseball. Being his granddaughter I have learned that he is a brilliant man, and an even better coach. Most importantly he is humble; I haven’t heard him speak of his successes once in my lifetime which is why I believe it is an excellent idea to recognize what he has accomplished for him. Words can't express the impact he has made in my life and so many others. He really deserves this.

227 terry astoni am a high school umpire with the taso organization. i met coach young a couple of years ago while i was calling a game at texas city. you can tell there is something special about him the moment you are on the field with him. his is one of the really class guys in uniform. he is still very proud of his time in bridge city.... and he is one of my favorite coaches of all time.
228 Beth Young McCrackenWhat do you say about a man who has touched so many lives in such a positive way. Not until my own children began to play competiive sports did I understand my Dad's true gift and how rare it is to find someone other than yourself who cares, believes in, and always demands the best for and from your children. For to be able to take a group of boys and bring out the best not just competitvely but in their spirit and be a part of turning them into men is a gift and a calling. I don't know if my Dad will ever retire for this is what he lives and breathes. Helping kids find their best, not just on the baseball field but in life. Recently he was counseling my oldest daughter who is 17 and making plans to attend Junior Olympics this summer for her competitive volleyball team. She was concerned with every game being the "last" time she would play and his words of wisdom went something like this. "Erin, no matter what sport you play at some point it is everyone's last game" Whether you are a high school player, college, professional or even a coach like me we all at some point are faced with our last game" Play like every game is your last and when you are finished whether through injury, circumstances or just time know you gave it 100% know you did your best every time you stepped on the field" Words cannot express my relationship with my Daddy and how proud I am to be his daughter and how blessed being a part of our family. He loves Bridge City...it will always be our home. I appreciate the way you all feel and how much he means to each of you.

232 Reagan RoyThis would be a well deserving tribute for a great man and coach. I did not play baseball for Coach Young, but he was our head freshman football coach in 1978. Our record was 8-1-1 and a share of the District Title, he was the reason it was the funnest and most rewarding of all the years that I played football. He was respected and appreciated by all. He has touched so many lives in his career as a coach as well as a teacher. Thanks Coach !
233 Rachelle ParnellI didn't play ball but I always liked Coach Young!
234 Ronnie PruettI am signing this for my father Ronnie Pruett. He played for Coach Young. My dad is currently in the middle of moving and does not always have a computer around. I know he loved playing for Coach Young and quickly said to put his name down for him.
235 A.J. Lemoine Jr.Played for him in the late 60's. He was a heck of a coach. If that field is named after anyone, it had better be him. He would probley still be here had it not been for Les Johnsons.
