greg guillotte | I can remember being in Jr High PE and hauling pieces of turf from the football field over to the new baseball field. This had to be back in the early to mid 70's. Not only was Coach Young a brilliant baseball coach, he was also a great mentor to all who played any type of sport under his direction. I played sub-varsity football under Coach Young back in the late 70's. I'll never forget in stead of giving us an extensive list of do's and don'ts, he told us all we had to remember was 1 simple rule... "Do what's right." He may not have realized at the time (and I probably didn't either) what a lasting impression those words made on a 15 year old 'punk kid'. Coach Young is also to be recognized for the very important work he did off the field, the work he did in the class room with the 'challenged' students that attended BCHS in the late 70's. One would not typically expect a typical 'coach' to have the patients, grace and demeanor to work with 'challenged students. Coach Young was a lot of things, but one thing he was not was a typical coach. Thanks Coach Young for the impression you and others (Steubing, Taylor, Griffin, Barber, Miller, Thacker) made on my character.

Wade Phillips | played for WOS back in the 80's for a great coach in Ronnie Anderson and got to know Coach Young during the 4 years of playing against his teams. Always enjoyed being around him because he exuded the love for baseball as I did. No one more deserving than Coach Young.

Tony Dallas | As a former Mustang I remember Coach Young caring about all of the players in the Orange county area. He was a true coach. I remember playing against him and as bad as I'm sure he wanted to win he also wanted to see all players get better. Coach Young deserves this recognition and I hope he gets it.

Michael Price | Coach Young was a vital part in Bridge City baseball. He was an important part in my life. Coach Young would still be here if Les Johnson would have left his program alone. B.C. would have atleast one 3A title under their belt by now if he was here. The program and stadium would not be what it is today without Coach Chuck Young.
Randie Jones | I am a Bridge City graduate and reside here again. Coach Young did a TREMENDOUS job when he was here and deserves the honor of having the stadium named after him !!!
