Ottoson Middle School is preventing us from going skating, and doing any other fun field trips. They might cancel Canobie Lake Park! So why should you, the parents, teachers, and of coarse, most importantly, the students, care? You should care because students should go on field trips because it is a good way to learn. When teachers take kids on field trips it is individual learning and it is a way to visually learn. Okay so you don't learn science while ice skating, no. But you do learn about friendship, staying safe, and OF COARSE how to ice skate! You learn basketball in gym, so why not learn to skate? Field trips are educational experiences that allow students to apply their lessons to the real world. These trips tend to be the most memorable moments of a student's career.
