I just received word that the development will move forward as owner-occupied homes instead of rentals. This result belongs entirely to you because I truly never imagined so many people would join me in this. I will keep a close eye on the construction to ensure the plan stays on …
To: Tim Dineen-West Suburban Bank, Jim Bergman and Dan Walsh-Ryan Companies, Congressman Randy Hultgen and Senator Mark Kirk. We, concerned citizens of Oswego, IL and the surrounding communities, wish to express our strong opposition to the planned development of 63 townhome units by Ryan Companies that would be offered as rental units as part of the Affordable Workforce Housing Tax Credit program. If the development of the townhomes should continue, we request that these be finished as originally intended when the Village approved their construction which was as owner-occupied homes.
I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this cause. It is clear that this community cares deeply about the future of Mill Street Station and I am just humbled to be a part of it.

I am actually moving in to this location and it saved my life. Some people are really struggling out there finically and Mill Street Station is the biggest blessing of my life. I cried and thanked God when I found out I had somewhere to call home.

This is totaly unfair to the people who already paid top dollar to live in this town. Why change the zoning now???

My kids go to school here and we have worked so hard to maintain our home. This feels like a bait and switch and I am not happy about it.

Enough is enough. Oswego is getting too crowded and building more rentals is just gonna make traffic even worse than it already is.

We bought our house here for the school district and the neighborhood feel. Bringing in rentals is going to ruin our property values. Keep it owner occupied like you said you would.
