This petition is to vote against the Oscar's new rule in which ten movies will be nominated for th ebest picture award. We want to keep it five because it has been the system for many years now and for these reasons. 1) It will be impossible to select 10 films worthy of the title each year and the best picture award will lose it's value 2) the five films that also get best director nom. will be the obvious top five anyway so the Academy Awards should either make every category 10 places or keep it at a five.
