| 53 | Paul Austin | Stop talking and start acting responsibly. Your actions speak louder than any words, stop paying your friends big bucks and torturing the poor and weak. |

| 74 | Sharon | We cannot afford any more dirty politics in this economy and I expect YOU as our govenor to stand up to this alligation and do something about this issue.... |
| 75 | John M Rosa IV | What about private outside contracts like Horton Enterprises, for Interpeter services to DHS offices. What about the large # of state owned vehicles that are used for quote work related transportation, and the taxpayers pay for the Ins. Fuel, Maint. Ect. Big Corps. have done away with this type of expence and the employees still manage to get to work and do there job, or they don't have one. Mr Carcheri want's State Gov. to down size and operate like the real world, then get real and question every thing. |

| 77 | Anonymous | I believe this decision is wrong for fiscal reasons, and it could reflect much more of that type of activity that has gone unnoticed. |

| 82 | Nathan Wilcox | I commend you on making some serious cut backs at the state level, even at the expense of people close to me. However, this make you seem like a hypocrite. |

| 85 | Russell Roy | I think it is a wrong to create a position for one of his cronies again, when we have such a budget crisis. |
| 86 | Wendy Caputo | I would also suggest that you could eliminate several other high paying positions without impeding the governmental process. |
| 87 | Jane Morris Coons | |
| 88 | Renee English | I am speechless! |
| 89 | Don JAckson | Also, are the Governor and his staff going to take 6 days of unpaid leave between now and July 1??? |
| 90 | Matthew J. Ulbin | As a retired State employee, I find it appalling that my benefits may be reduced, curtailed or even worse (medical) abolished. I retired in good faith to retirement options that best fit my financial circumstance. I am unable to change my options due to retirement regulations. How can the Governor retroactively change my benefits if I am unable to do so myself.
I believe the Governor has not acted in good faith when it comes to sitting down with the Unions and other groups that are poised to lose much.
It is a shame these budget facts were not brought out during the election process in 2006. Carcieri would most certainly have been defeated.
At one time I was proud to say I was an employee of the State of RI. Now I am ashamed to say anything of the sort, given the image the Governor has painted of the employees/retirees of the State. We are viewed upon as the only responsible party for such a horrific fiscal mess.
Tired of being blamed.

| 92 | Linda McBride | I am a State worker being forced to take days off without pay. I can't believe the gaul of this Governor asking for sacrifices from the working poor and middle class while creating plum positions for his friends. IMPEACH!!!! |
| 93 | Stephanie Vinhateiro | |
| 94 | Renee English | speechless! |

| 96 | Joseph J. Bevilacqua | Governor Carcieri, begin dealing with the fiscal crisis in your own office and not by redirecting resources from service agencies such as MHRH. |
| 97 | Rosa Santos | This is the kind of thing that perhaps makes people vote differently next time. |
| 98 | Re. Amy Rice | And recind all the upper level hirees from the last two years. |
| 99 | Anonymous | And recind all the upper level hirees from the last two years. |
| 100 | RJ Gregg | As someone who voted for you in your FIRST election, I have come to find myself increasingly let down by your lack of leadership. I thought you would be different, I thought you could deliver on your promise to change the way the state does business. I'm tired of you simply blaming the unions or the General Assembly. It's the same thing from you time after time after time again. Grown up and start acting like the man you purported yourself to be six years ago, otherwise you will forever be remembered as little more than a two-term failure! |
