Name: M. Craig Simonsen. on Feb 15, 2009Comments: Greetings, Dorchester Residents we can not allow MAPP and PEPCO as well as other utility companies to continue with the venue they are now taking, if one venue is allowed it will continue and destroy our county. Life as we no it will never be the same if this continues. We must all join together in this serious matter. No overhead power lines, no underground power lines. This must stop. It all starts from the western shore across the Chesapeake Bay. Our CHESAPEAKE has enough problems without this. TAYLORS ISLAND will be the first land to start this destruction (if allowed) of DORCHESTER COUNTY. Sincerely, M. Craig Simonsen. 4144 Bay Shore Rd. P.O. Box 274 Taylors Island, Md. 21669. P.S. Do you know that our well water levels are lower now due to the western shore masive draws of water Craig.Flag

Name: Helen R. Simonsen on Feb 15, 2009Comments: Dear Dorchester County Residents, I am letting all the county know that I am in TOTAL OPPOSITION to the MAPP project that has been thrown at our doorsteps. This is totally uncalled for and not needed in our county. If you listened carefully at the February 3rd. meeting, it was all but said that this project would benefit other areas and be of NO or very little benefit to Dorchester but we would be paying dearly for it, not only through our pocket books but our way of life. Please stand with those of us who oppose this project and do not let it even get started on the western shore. Thank you, Helen R. Simonsen. 4144 Bay Shore Rd. P.O. Box 274 Taylors Island, Md. 21669.Flag

Name: Beth Burnam on Feb 24, 2009Comments: I work for Piedmont Environmental council in Va which has been fighting Dominion Power for the last 2 years over the same issue. The notion of conserving energy as a means of reducing the need for new powerlines is slowly gaining credence in the courts and the marketplace. This would spoil one of the most exquisite landscapes on the east coast!Flag
