Name: Barbara Greene on Mar 23, 2009Class:Comments: I urge you to reconsider your invitation to have President Obama speak at your commencement address. He represents everything that Notre Dame is NOT or SHOULD NOT be about. The actions that he has taken thus far to support abortions in foreign countries, to lift the ban on embryonic stem sell research, and yet to come his stance on the Freedom of Choice Act. I am discouraged that such a fine institution would not stand up both in its words and actions for what it stands for. Reverse your decision to have President OBama as your guest speaker at your commencement ceremonies this year. Barb GreeneFlag

Name: Suzanne M Nigro Esq. on Mar 23, 2009Class:Comments: how this "catholic "university possibily be proud to have scheduled a President to speak at its commencement that is vocally against Life. It is insensitive and against everything that Catholics stand for. My family, many of whom are ND graduates, and infact double domers are incredulous.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 23, 2009Class:Comments: It is utterly embarrassing to have to explain to my friends and family how my alma mater could select and HONOR President Obama in such a fashion. What a mockery of what it means to be a Catholic. And here all these years I thought Notre Dame stood for something truly Catholic.Flag

Name: Sofia & Tomas Arana on Mar 23, 2009Class:Comments: I think it is disgraceful for the University of Notre Dame to allow Barack Obama to speak at graduation in May. Qs an aunt of one of the graduates, I am apalled by this choice! I thought our church was pro-life but apparently Notre Dame is not as Catholic as it should be! Shame on you if you allow this to happen. I will be there opposing this matter all the way! Thank you, Sofia Benitez AranaFlag
