Extremist animal rights organizations have exploited a recent tragic incident, placed reptiles and exotic mammals into one group to promote their own radical agenda and attempt to prohibit citizens the right to own these pets.
If voted into law, the bill will take effect January 01, 2006.
We implore North Carolina legislators to preserve our rights to keep the animal of our choice as pets, not allowing extremist special-interest groups to remove our fundamental rights.
