Our Government has decided that it wants to allow Gay Marriage. this proposed legislation was not mentioned in any pre-election campaign, it was not given a hearing in Parliamnet or raised in any Bill. David Cameron does not have a mandate to do either this or change the ordinances of marriage. Approximately 0.15 of the population wish to marry a gay or lesbian partner. Yet this Bill will affect us all. The Government will break its own statutes and codes to force this law through and change the institution of marriage as defined by God and the Bible. They have neither the right or the authority to do this. The country this Government 'serves' would be better rewarded by investing its time and energies in supporting families to stay married and prevent family breakdown. According to its own studies and research family breakdown costs the country £44 billion p.a. That does not include the emotional and practical damage it does to individuals. We request that the Government scrap this Bill forthwith and serve the will of the people who voted it into office.
