I have a bipolar son who is 8 years old. He is a very bright young boy however I have learned throughout the years he has been in school that the teachers in public schools are not properly trained to deal with disabled children. As a result my son (as I'm sure many other children do) gets pushed aside and mistreated as well as very misunderstood. These children have enough to deal with and do not need to be made to feel inferior to what society deems "normal". Please assist me in finding a way to get the proper education and opportunities provided for these children that they so desperately need and deserve!!!
