Comments: The best interest of the child is to be with people who love her and who can take care of her emotion, physical and spiritually. A man who is not taking care of his other four children should not have the power to put this one into fostercare. Vanessa is safe, loved and nutured right where she is. Let Vanessa stay with her family in California.

Comments: As a mother of two young daughters (4 years and 3 weeks) that are adopted, I am outraged that Ohio and California children's services and other agencies are wasting time and money litigating this case. I am so tired of the birth parents having all the rights when in fact, when they break the law and or demonstrate criminal behavior, their parental rights should be terminated, regardless. Clearly, this birth father does not want to be a loving and devoted father when he in fact already has 4 other children that do not live with him. Its obvious that Vanessa belongs with Stacey who has provided a stable, loving, nurturing and stimulating environment for her daughter, since birth. Adoptive parents should have similar rights too and often times demonstrate they are more than capable of providing for the thousands of children in the US that are born into less than ideal and unfortunate circumstances.

Comments: It makes no sense to me to put a child in Foster Care when she is being taken care of so well already by someone she loves. If her Bio father does end up getting custody it will only help Vanessa to go from Stacey to her father. I am an adoptive mother who has read many books on attachment. It is the only logical choice.

Comments: I am a resident of Dayton, Ohio. This little girl needs to stay in California with her mother. Putting her in foster care until the case is resolved would do NOTHING but hurt her. Please, do the right thing. There is no need for foster care here!

Comments: Please, do the right thing for Vanessa and keep her with the family that she knows and loves. If you have children, you'd understand. It doesn't matter who they are born to, it matters who loves them. I grew up in an abusive home with my biological parents. I would have given anything to be like Vanessa, with people who aren't her biological parents, but love her so much they are willing to go to the ends of the earth for her.

Comments: Children need stability, structure and routines especially at this age. Removing this child from her current environment will cause irrepairable damage to her life. While Vanessa will grow in life, the impact impact of removing her from Stacy will clearly be seen at some point in her life. I know this because I have witnessed similiar situations twice in my lifetime. Please let Vanessa stay in the only home that she knows.

Comments: Do what is right and in the best interests of this child ... if the "biological father" and parolee/ex-con wants to see the girl -- unlike his other children -- require him to do so under court supervision in California. Leave the child in Stacey's care.

Comments: Please let Vanessa continue to thrive in a loving and giving home with the Mother that has raised her since birth, with the family that has cared for her and will always do so. Please do not let her be placed in foster care or become the 4th child of a convicted felon who does not have custody nor the ability to properly care for this child who only now has a chance in this world. Please do what is right for Vanessa, and that is to keep her with Stacey in a loving and stable home.

Comments: I don't know the whole story but if the above is all true, why in the world would removing a child from a loving home even be considered. It is soooo wrong and I hope the court would look out for the best interest of this child. Please, keep her in the loving arms of the only mother she has ever known. I can't imagine how terrified and unsettled she would be. Please make this decision from your heart. Thank you for reconsidering what this would mean to this little child.
