The developers have confirmed that future builds will include cross-platform support and commit to utilizing open standards. This official shift demonstrates that our technical arguments regarding market distribution were heard by the stakeholders involved. I will continue to monitor the upcoming release cycle to ensure these technical requirements are strictly …
The purpose of this petition is
1) To get the makers of Neverwinter Nights 2, who in previous versions supported Linux and Mac, to continue their support of these platforms by releasing the game in open standards (like OpenGL) instead of closed standards like C# and DirectX which only work on the Windows platform.
2) To let Infogrames, Atari and Hasbro (Wizards of the Coast) know that the previous user base for this game is displeased due to lack of support for their platforms and do not intend to purchase any products from Infogrames, Atari, Hasbro or Wizards of the Coast until such a time that they continue support for the platforms that they have supported in the past.
3) The markets for these platforms has not shrunk and in fact has grown with Mac laptops now making up 45% of laptops sold and Linux and Macs desktops now having a combined market near 15% (not counting that Linux has the controlling share of servers in the world).
To support these platforms with earlier products and then not support them when their market has clearly grown is contrary and we the undersigned choose not to support your companies until you support our platforms.
We are approaching the 2,500 signature threshold required to secure a formal meeting with the Atari product management team. Please distribute this link through your professional networks to ensure we reach that target before the end of the week.

Total BS that they dropped support. Mac market share is huge now, this is just lazy.
