We need your support!!

Open Cast are applying to become a Free School, allowing us to tailor our curriculum to the needs of individual learners.

This change will see Open Cast student's flourish, we will no longer be tied to local education authorities but can develop a bespoke programme of learning tackling behaviour, assessing needs and concentrating on core GCSE subjects.

We will be able to offer a much-needed package of training and support to equip learners with the skills and qualifications they need to become happy and successful members of society.

Doncaster has some of the highest rates of unemployment (one in five adults is on benefits) and 38% of people in the town aged 16-74 have no qualifications. At Open Cast we recognise the need for a different kind of education and are tackling Doncaster's problems head on, becoming a Free School would allow us to do this in a way we never thought possible.

We need to gather as much support as possible from students, parents and residents of Doncaster.

We know we have lots of support from local businesses and residents, if you support what we are doing please strengthen our application by signing our petition.
