Name: Gerald Chopik on Feb 28, 2010Comments: This legislation is LONG overdue. Just like it was for decades in the past for the option to shop on Sunday and the personal choice to have an alcoholic beverage with a meal in a restuarant. It's time to catch up to the rest of the country.Flag

Name: Gino Arcaro on Feb 28, 2010Comments: As a proud Ontario resident and veteran football coach of 40 seasons, I cannot understande the MMA ban. We allow violent contact sports such as football and hockey. And, we embrace fist-fighting in hockey - ignoring it and we welcome it. Excluding MMA is hypocrisy. MMA fighters are highly skilled, highly-trained athletes. Thank you for your time, Gino ArcaroFlag

Name: Tyler Mason on Feb 28, 2010Comments: MMA can provide jobs and livelihoods for countless families in this province. We are losing millions of dollars in tourism, advertising, live gates, and gambling associated with the sport of MMA due to the ban. Ontario is already a leader in MMA and the sport is illegal, just imagine what MMA in Ontario could be without that hindrance.Flag

Name: Scott King on Feb 28, 2010Comments: MMA is a safe sport that only brings money into each town that it brings a show to. Right when the Ontario economy needs it's own stimulation this is something that will give our economy a shot in the arm.Flag

Name: Kelsey Philpott on Feb 28, 2010Comments: I'm the Managing Editor of MMAPayout.com and have long argued for MMA's regulation in Ontario for the following three reasons: 1.) It's a legitimate sport. These men and women fight, but honorably; and demonstrate a level of skill, discipline, athleticism, and determination on par with any other professional sport held in Ontario. 2.) The sport is no more dangerous than boxing or football. 3.) The economic impact of MMA's regulation could mean millions for local governments and their constituents. I would encourage the Government of Ontario not to take my word for it, but really do some due diligence of its own and discern for itself as to whether MMA is fit for regulation. Regards, Kelsey PhilpottFlag

Name: Tim Macdonell on Mar 1, 2010Comments: Look what the olympics did for Canada's economy... What will you follow it up with? Vancouver is on board with an event in June, Montreal has done 2 going on three. Open your eyes and realize we need to bring $ into our economy... Ontario needs to be a leader not the province that is playing catch-up three years later.Flag

Name: Raymond Caukwell on Mar 1, 2010Comments: This is a non-issue. Boxing and other more dangerous contact sports are legal in ontario, and MMA is legal in other provinces. Holding back MMA is adding a negative point to our province, and is holding back on possible tourism activities.Flag
