Name: Katherine Jamieson on May 14, 2007Comments: There are alot of 18 year olds out there who are responsible for everything they do, weather it be raising a child, owning/renting and Apt. or house, and yet they cant drink because they are not 19. Yes there are some 18 year olds who dont consider having any responsibilities, but what I dont understand is 19 is just one year older...how does that make a difference in having a responsibility and choosing weather or not to take care of them... it isnt about an age, it's about being responsible for your actions while drinking, add a limit as to how much you drink, learning to keep yourself from having too much. As far as i'm concerned people who cant drink responsibly shound be allowed to drink and none of it should be taken out on people because of an age, when thats really not the problem. Again it isnt about being 18 or 19 it is about learning and/or knowing how much they can handle and when to stop, but hey thats just my opinion.Flag

Would the law makers enjoy their primitive law if we turned it against them and said that after the age of 50 you cant drink or purchase alcohol...old people do irresponsible things and drive dangerously when sober so why are we criminals for having a beer before 19Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 2, 2008Comments: I think it should be lowered because Quebec is so close to drive into, and as most law enforment knows kids under 19 get alcohol elsewhere, its better to get it from yourself so you its Drug safe, and know your limit. I think it would be cool if your parents could git if for you legally, because then they knwo how much you drank.Flag
