Name: Sandeep Chahal on Nov 28, 2010Comments: The new regulations are terribly unfair, and help no one but the rich insurance companies whom we are forced to pay for. Rehab companies will go out of business, families will fall a part, suicide and depression rates will increase. OHIP will have more patients to worry about. People will die and lower life spans being forced to work when being unable. There is absolutely no positive outcome for passing these new automobile regulations. It will destroy the economy, happiness, and numerous other concerns. Please reinstate the previous regulations.Flag

The most irronic thing about most of the signatures and comments on this petition is that they are the "few bad apples" that caused this regulation to come into place. Most of whom are corrupt Doctors and clinic owners fraudulently submitting millions of dollars worth of claims that patients never see. So lets take a look at who's really being greedy.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 1, 2011Comments: Did you know every major insurance company provides funding to OHIP? So what is wrong with diagnostic testing for legitimate injuries being done by OHIP if the insurance company is paying for OHIP. Why do lawyers and legal representatives not want you seeing your family doctor. If people used the services that are already paid for maybe they would get better. Housekeeping is a joke - a family of 5 gets in a minor accident and now claims that over 50 hours of housekeeping was being done and they need 500.00 between all family members to fund for "relative" to complete all the services and that person also works 60 hours a week?? When a system is abused don't be surprised when changes happen.Flag

Report prepared for the Goverment, only found modest decreases in premiums after the cap was introduced. Darrel Dexter the new NDP premier of Nova Scotia indicated that 'Insurance is a product designed to protect people, if you exclude people from protection ...then by definition you are not delivering the product that has been paid for' This election vote against the cap.Flag
