In 2007, president bush, dick cheney, and donald rumsfeld started africom. africom is short for africa Command. The main
purpose is for america to secure it's national interests to recolonize Africa and retain Africa's resources. congressional Hearings took place with great resistance along with the African Union and ALL African nations.
Many activists
and journalists from all over the world cried out a resounding NO to
american colonialism. Many congressional leaders questioned the validity of africom. Yet the lust for African domination proved to strong, and in September 2008 africom was passed through congress and it is now officially the SIXTH branch of the united states military! africom combines the pentagon, the department of defense, usAid, and the state department as one entity of support.
Yes, colonialism once again is rearing its ugly head. Yes, there is hope to stop it! This petition was created against africom; this is a chance for any person who disagrees with the existence of africom an opportunity to take action by signing this petition!
It can be an american citizen, an African, or any person from any other nation to sign.
The goal of this petition is to gather ONE MILLION signatures for both President Obama to take notice and to eliminate africom completely; and for congressional leaders to discontinue funding of africom at the expense of taxpayers!
PLEASE DO NOT LET COLONIALISM HAPPEN AGAIN UPON AFRICA, President Barack Obama and Congress, Cease and Desist africom and it's funding from the taxpayers. Leave the governance and sovereignty to Africa.
