Some Background Information

        Africom was created in 2007 by then president Bush, vice-president dick Cheney, and secretary of state Donald Rumsfield.  Upon learning that Ghana stroke oil previously in 2007 along with dick Cheney's company, Halliburton Africom was created and accepted by congress with a budget in 2008 with little media attention. According to ResistAfricom's website, a NGO in Washington, DC, one of Africom's primary functions will be to train and equip African militarises to "legitimize" and "professionalize" soldiers. The history of U.S. train and equip programs has resulted in devastation and violence as a result of the infusion of weapons and training into unstable areas of Africa.
