We the undersigned residents of the Shoals area in North Alabama are petitioning ALDOT to consider, renovating, repairing or replacing the walkway under the O'Neil bridge to provide bicycle and walking access between Florence and Sheffield, Tuscumbia and Muscle Shoals Alabama. We believe this would be a suitable cause to use some of the economic stimulus funds. There is currently no access locally across the Tennessee river and believe this issue should be addressed as soon as possible.
