Comments: Please remove any incorrect references to MOVE as a cult or that th group participated in mass suicide. I was professional active in justice advocacy at the time, and in no way did they ever use suicide. This well respected grouping of people is life and people loving.

Comments: This is incredible -- the police drop a bomb on these people -- an act a federal court later found to be illegal -- and Guinness calls it mass suicide! Read a newspaper, Guinness.

Comments: Your reporting erroneous information of such was done under the malignancy that the system has always operated when it comes to the MOVE and their family. I demand that the erroneous information be immediately removed from the category and the print of your material. You need to pay close atttention to the toxicity your nature. Detox and come clean with the truth.!

Comments: MOVE is a serious progressive political organization who has been a victim of the Philadelphia police. When the police bombed their house and killed families and children, this was a terrorist attack. These people were murderd and most certainly didnot commit suicide. Do you call the victims of 9-11 mass suicides Of course not. So do not misrepresent the MOVE organization as such.

Comments: It is sickning and completely untrue to list the MOVE organization as a "cult" and under "mass suicides". It would actually be pretty easy to do the research and find out the truth of the situation.

Comments: I am Canadian, but very familiar with MOVE's history, and agree it is appalling for them to be considered a 'cult' or that the multiple deaths their members experienced in 1985 are being considered a 'mass suicide' by Guiness World Records. May 1985 should more appropriately be listed on record as the "most notorious example of state-sponsored domestic terrorism by the City of Philadelphia on its own people". I trust Guiness will do the right thing and issue both a retraction and a public apology to MOVE members in the next issue of Guiness World Records, in addition to taking measures that will ensure their 'researchers' get their facts straight in the future.

Comments: MOVE is a viable and vital organization committed to protecting and maintaining a free and healthy Life. MOVE members were atrociously killed at the hands of Philadelphia administrators and their disregard for American law. The lie that MOVE members committed suicide might go unchallenged, except the one adult survivor of that attack on MOVE lives to tell the TRUTH. MOVE members did not commit suicide, they were MURDERED, which a quick Google check would verify and Wikipedia would affirm, which is just SIMPLE fact checking. Classifying MOVE as a unique social organization is a more meaningful way to think of MOVE than calling them a cult. MANY organizations outside mainstream ideas of normalcy could technically be called cults, raw foodists, rastafarians, yogis, etc. MOVE members are accessible. They are real people. Want to know more about MOVE Why not ask MOVE members. You are sure to be enlightened.

Comments: Guinness staff ought act quickly, and in perhaps extraodinary fashion to rectiffy this "mass suicide" slur on MOVE lest the Guiness world records become an easy target of ridicule. It is as ridiculous to say that MOVE family deaths in 1985 were "mass suicide" as it would be to say that passengers on the Titanic were the same by failure to count the lifeboats...or that Amercian Indians committed mass suicide by daring to oppose the Euro invaders....or that Iraqi children committed mass suicide by "chosing" to be born in that country.

Comments: The characterization of the MOVE Organization as a cult and as having committed mass suicide is a lie which has very dangerous ramifications. MOVE has a long history of sanely and relentlessly opposing the US Government's horrors, both internationally and in this country, imposed on the people of the world and the very planet we live on. To turn that opposition to a deadly government, even in the face of the Government murdering 11 MOVE members, into a cult that committed suicide suggests a conscious and vicious attempt to distort the respect gained and inspiration provided by this organization into its very opposite. Now that they can no longer claim ignorance, the Guiness Book of World Records and the Cult Information Centre, should immediately correct their records, and issue a public retraction and apology for the outrageous distortions they published.
