Name: Noel Hamel on Feb 14, 2013Comments: Omar was just a child when American soldiers seized him and fingered him for crimes which it is unlikely he committed. He plea bargained but the official side has not honoured its side of the bargain. There is no evidence that granting parole will pose any threat.Flag

Name: Joanna Orsatelli on Feb 15, 2013Comments: I am appalled by the teatment of prisoners in the aftermath of 9/11 and the "War on Terror" - The respect for basic human rights would go a long way to ensuring that Justice prevail. In the many cases I have heard about - particularly the circumstances of arrest and imprisonment in Bagram and Guantanamo - it is clear that basic human rights and therefore Justice have been put aside - for reasons that are obviously unclear to those in authority but under whose jurisdiction appalling treatment of human life hasd taken place. If those governments, which uphold Human Rights in name, cannot uphold such principles when circumstances demand that they be respected, then how can any other government around the world be expected to? My shock knows no bounds when I read that Omar was 15 when he was arrested and clearly has not had any protection due to him as a minor - war or no war. Please have the courage to stand for Justice and Humanity and release Omar Khadr.Flag

Name: Roger Hollander on Feb 20, 2013Comments: I have followed this case for many years, and it is evident that by any standards of law, justice or morality, Omar Khadr should be freed. The facts are there for anyone who has the eyes to see them. However, as Omar himself said in the vido where he was verbally torutured by a Canadian CSIS agent, "you don't like the truh." That the Canadian government continues to torture this innocent man is clearly racist (if he were a white Canadian this could not happen) and a disgrace.Flag

I am ashamed of how Canada will be judged for our actions and inactions in relation to Omar Khadr. It will be viewed with equal disgust as our treatment of First Nations people and our refusal to allow Jews into Canada to escape Nazi Germany.Flag

The day will come when those responsible for his torture and suffering will have to face justice. We support Omar, an innocent boy whose culpability has been made up by US government with the complicity of the Canadian government.Flag

Name: Kathy Copps on Mar 2, 2013Comments: The call for Omar's freedom resonates even more profoundly after the latest ruling from the U.S. appeals court. Canadians who respect the rule of law and equal application of justice must join together: to demand his immediate release from Millhaven, to denounce Stephen Harper and Vic Toews for their unlawful political interference in order to deny Omar Khadr's fundamental human and Charter rights, to accord compensation to Omar for the egregious and cruel suffering inflicted upon him for the past 11 years. Free Omar Khadr now!Flag
